Two friends named O'Brien and Colfer converted their Toms River summer bungalow into a doughnut stand in 1953, naming it OB-CO's after their surnames. The walk-up window on Fischer Boulevard still uses the original recipes; longtime employee Betty Browner and her husband Rick bought the shop around 2009 and have run it since.
