Opened in 1969 by C.W. Chiles as Southern Pride Donuts, later renamed Donut King. Longtime employee Kathy Sivers bought it in 1983; John and Lauren Cone took over in October 1996, and a 2010 expansion moved it to Armour Road with partners Kristin and Jeff Linder.
