Founded in 1937 by 21-year-old John Schuler at 402 E. Main St. in Springfield, first as a wholesale doughnut and cupcake bakery. His sons Larry, Ted and Dan followed; grandson Trent Schuler became sole owner in 2007. The historic 457 E. Main St. shop closed over structural problems; 1911 S. Limestone is now the hub.
