The name comes from 'flyboy,' an old nickname for a pilot; the original shop was started by a pilot in Tea, South Dakota, in 2013, and Ben Duenwald bought it in 2014 and built it into a family-run business with five shops in Sioux Falls and one in Brookings. The company roasts its own Flyboy Coffee in small batches and donates all unsold donuts to local churches and charities rather than throwing them away.
Open since 2013
Owned by Ben Duenwald (with sister Stacy White in operations) since 2014; confirmed by Dakota News Now (2018), the shop's About page and ESPN Sioux Falls.
