Kim Camara and Kevin Borja began Kora as a pandemic-era home doughnut pop-up in Woodside in 2020, named for Camara's grandmother; after years of sell-out weekly drops they opened a permanent Sunnyside bakery on Greenpoint Avenue in March 2025.
