Grebe's was founded in 1937 by Irene Grebe, who began baking in her home kitchen to support her family after her husband became paralyzed. The West Allis bakery on W. Lincoln Ave. remains family-owned and is now run by the fourth generation. Alongside its retail bakery and deli counter, Grebe's distributes its doughnuts and baked goods to stores across southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois.
