Donut Monster began as a pop-up run by chef Jackie Lee Woods and his wife Sara, selling at Milwaukee-area coffee shops and farmers markets before opening its first storefront at 5169 N. Elkhart Ave. in Whitefish Bay over Thanksgiving weekend 2019. In summer 2021 it added a Third Ward shop with a dedicated production kitchen at 316 N. Milwaukee St. in the Landmark Building, sharing the space with Brute Pizza. A third shop in Cedarburg is listed on the company's site.
