Scarlet's Donuts

Known for: Hand-cut yeast donuts and filled rounds from housemade batter, old-fashioned cake donuts, seasonal specials, plus Delta hot tamales and meat pies; 300 to 400 dozen donuts on a Saturday.

Opened in Tupelo in 1990 (originally as Mississippi's first Shipley's franchise, founded by Eddie McGaugh); Scarlet Wilson ran the business for 35 years and it became Scarlet's Donuts. In October 2025 Wilson retired and sold to Will and Alisha Gentry, who kept the product line.
