Just Fine Donuts opened on National Doughnut Day, June 4, 2021, inside The Dairy Godmother frozen-custard shop in Alexandria's Del Ray neighborhood. Founder Russell Gravatt, a retired fire chief, named it after a sailboat his father and godfather built in the late 1950s. Every doughnut is vegan, with 20 to 30 flavors in the case each morning.
