Jarrod and Abi Gutierrez, who had made doughnuts for Brother's Cafe, planned the shop from 2020 and bought equipment while living in Texas. After delays from the pandemic and a house fire, The Glaze opened September 4, 2024 in the former New Peking restaurant building across from Country Foods IGA in Kenai.
