Greg Smurawa and his wife Janice opened Smurawa's Country Bakery in Pulaski in September 1998. Its paczki are made from a family recipe the Smurawas say goes back more than 100 years and five generations. The bakery has become the center of Pulaski's Paczki Day tradition, producing roughly 1,600 dozen paczki for Fat Tuesday according to UpNorthNews and expecting 30,000-35,000 per WBAY.
