Sisters Thary and Thida Ky, Cambodian immigrants, learned the donut business from a relative in Gilroy and opened their first City Donuts in Reedley about 15 years ago. A Fresno shop at Chestnut and Olive followed, and in 2025 they opened a third near Fresno High at Palm and McKinley avenues, in a former Supreme Donuts that they renovated for about a year.
