Lone Star Donuts traces its roots to 1950 and has occupied its North Beckley Avenue building since 1963, where it ran an automated donut line that customers could watch. The family business grew into Lone Star Consolidated Foods, a wholesale baker, while the Oak Cliff storefront stayed a neighborhood staple. The shop closed in 2022 amid rising ingredient costs and reopened in February 2023.
