The Kenny family ran The Donut Stop in California from the 1970s; son Jay Kenny moved the business to Reno and opened DoughBoys in 2009, expanding to Northwest Reno and Sparks. In March 2023 Dan and Amy Rowan bought the business and kept the family-recipe tradition.
