Jeff and Mindy Hildebrand opened River Oaks Donuts on Westheimer in July 2013 after three months of taste-testing to develop a custom hand-cut donut recipe, pairing it with marble counters, local art and locally roasted coffee. It won PaperCity's 2018 Houston donut poll and remains a single-location shop.
