Pastry chef Kamal Grant, a Navy veteran trained at the Culinary Institute of America, opened Sublime Doughnuts near Georgia Tech in 2008. A second Atlanta shop in Brookhaven ran from 2016 until it closed in March 2026, leaving the original 10th Street shop.
