Opened in 2011 on Cerrillos Road by Jeff and Kari Keenan, who also co-own the ChocolateSmith shop next door, Whoo's built its reputation on a single donut, the blue corn blueberry lavender, with a texture closer to great cornbread than anything in a chain case. Everything is made from scratch with only natural colorings, and the blue corn donut is wholesaled to coffee shops around northern New Mexico and to Whole Foods stores in several states.
