Donut Scout's notes

“One of my very best friends grew up in Cambridge, New York, and his parents are still there. I get back to visit once or twice a year for the last dozen years or so, and I always look forward to the weekend part of the visit because the King Donut cart is going to be out and ready to serve on Sunday morning. The donuts are just phenomenal. In the beginning, I'd show up, and the line would be down the street. They roll out the cart early in the morning after they'd been baking all night in their house, and the smell of these fresh donuts is overpowering. I learned to get there early because they always sell out. I also learned to place an order ahead of time so that I could walk around to the back of the cart and cut the line, if you will. Definitely, if they have fritters, add them to the list, but you're not going to go wrong. Every one of their donuts is spectacular.”
