Mike Tennyson Sr. bought the long-running bakery at 925 Iowa St. around 1989-1990 and shifted it from bread to doughnuts because 'everybody likes our doughnuts.' Son Mike Tennyson Jr. now runs it; it operates around the clock and was voted the University Daily Kansan's best bakery.
