Run since 1990 by John and Stella Chhan, Cambodian refugees who arrived in Orange County in 1979. When Stella suffered a brain aneurysm in September 2018, a regular's Nextdoor post led locals to buy out the shop's doughnuts early each morning so John could close and be with his wife, a story that drew national coverage; Stella recovered and returned to the shop.
