Natalya and Robert Chaffee opened Augusta Bakery in 2002. In 2016 the Wisconsin Bakers Association named it Bakery Operation of the Year, and it took four category awards at the Midwest Foodservice Expo for its caramel apple fritters, peanut butter cup long johns, donut holes and savory long johns.
