Opened in 1946 as Royal Bake Shop by WWII veteran Dale Merritt. Keith and Janine Ellis bought it in 1993 and ran it for about 30 years. Bryan and Brooke Hille purchased the bakery in 2023 and renamed it Zebra King Donuts after its marbled Zebra donut.
