Open around the clock at Greenback Lane and San Juan Avenue for about three decades, the shop began as a Winchell's Donuts location before taking the Donut King name. Van Hong took over the family business from his older brother just before the COVID-19 pandemic and still makes the donuts from scratch in batches through the day.
