Opened in January 1955 by Carl and Mildred Long on the west side of Indianapolis and still run by the family, with a second shop on Southport Road since 1987. It remains cash only, everything is made from scratch by hand, and prices have stayed strikingly low, with classic yeast and cake donuts under a dollar.
