Donut Parade was opened in 1968 by Darrell Jones, whose wife Kathy ran the counter; it became a north Spokane fixture that drew more than 200 regulars a day. Roy and Christian Reno took over in 2008 and closed the shop in 2016 amid financial trouble. Nathan and Christa Peabody bought it and reopened it at 2152 N. Hamilton Street in March 2019, keeping the recipes as close to the original as possible.
