Restaurateur Ben Altschul, son of Lazy Jane's founder Jane Capito, opened Zippy Lube on December 1, 2022 in a former Zippy Lube auto-service building at 2013 N. Sherman Ave. on Madison's north side. Its doughnuts are old-fashioned buttermilk fried cakes based on a recipe from George Tuggle, a former Dane County Farmers' Market vendor.
