Shaun Paulk started experimenting with a donut machine in his garage after a job injury; he and wife Crystal sold at farmers markets and, from about 2011, ran a food truck that became a fixture at Columbia's Soda City Market. They opened their first storefront at 1215 Lincoln St. in the Vista in early 2022 and a second at the Village at Sandhill in September 2023.
