John and Samath Peck bought a doughnut shop in Walla Walla in 1999 and opened Popular Donuts in Kennewick in 2005; by 2022 the family, including son Steven and his wife Caitlin Tucker, ran the Kennewick shop, with John drawing on doughnut-making experience dating to 1983.
