Opened in 1969 at 18th and High by Greek immigrants Jim and George Barouxis with partner George Sauter, originally as a Jolly Roger donut shop; renamed Buckeye Donuts in 1978. Jimmy Barouxis, third generation, took over in 2001. A second counter opened in the North Market Downtown in June 2023.
