Chris and Keila Gargate began BKeDSHoP as a food truck around 2015-2016 and opened their first storefront at WestEdge in downtown Charleston in June 2018. They added Summerville (Nexton) and Mount Pleasant, and in 2025 opened a fourth shop at 555 Shadowmoss Parkway in West Ashley.
