Founded in 1913 by Swiss immigrant Ernest Uebersax and his wife Alvena in southwest Baltimore, renamed Fenwick Bakery after a 1927 move to Fenwick Avenue, and settled on Harford Road in 1971. Longtime employees Al Meckel and Claudette Wilson bought it from the founders' children in 1994.
